The following content is my best works since week 5, including 100 words statement, 5 hand-made models, 1 Photoshop work, 1 3d model, 1 laser cutting, and 2 hand drawings

The changing light

Different environments and angles of light convey different ways of power. However, how do we know if the model will change with the change of light style? I designed a double-story house which presented in three different environments and light tone: normal, dark and warm. The model has not changed much from its original style under normal light. However, under the warm, yellow light, the model will reveal a sense of pleasure. By contrast, If the model is presented in an environment with black and white as the main tone, it will post a feeling of coldness. In conclusion, the style of light does change the overall atmosphere.

week 10 model making progress - wooden lamp

1. Prepare a bunch of wooden craft sticks



2. Use glue to make four wooden sticks into a square



3. Repeat and repeat...




4. Stack them on top of each other with a little distance

DONE!

week 9 model making progress - origami

1. Draw triangles on a paper




2. Cut them out, remember not to cut through the top and the bottom




3. Gently flip the two corners of the triangle

DONE!

week 8 model making progress - shadowing + photoshop work

1. Cut paper into a square



2. Fold corners




I think this model is a good example to show shadowings because it has many corners that can reflect different views.
